What does the cat say? MEOW

I can finally let the cat out of the bag. We're finally moving! Getting the heck out of this hell hole people call "Hawkinsville." For those of you who have never heard of it...don't worry...you're not missing out on a thing. I promise!

Rory and I are so excited that we can move up and move on :)

I'll post more when we get situated.

A New Word

I'm not too sure that I've shared this in the last post, but Ava has a new word. Since she started saying it Sunday night, I've thought it was hilarious!

Here's how it went down:I gave her a bath and took her in her room all wrapped up...nice and snug in her towel. Of course she would not be a normal toddler if she didn't rip the towel off and run around her room naked while laughing hysterically. I don't know what she thought was so funny. After a nice, long, hard day...the last thing you want to do is chase a child who could potentially get so excited you scare the pee out of them(literally)...can I get an AMEN!

So back to my story. Ava is running around. Check. I hear her say something. Check.

Wait...

Oh my gosh...did she really say what I thought she said? She says it again. Holy Cannoli! She so said what I thought she said.

"MERCEDES"

That word has a very snobbish sound, but coming from a toddler it sounds so sweet. She kept saying "mer saaay deeees." When it finally hit me what she was saying I began to laugh hysterically, almost peeing my pants. Then I told her to go inform her Daddy what she wants for her next birthday.

Ha ha! I don't think Rory thought this was too funny.

I'm not talking off topic here, okay. Just stay with me for a sec. Rory decided yesterday to pick Ava up from school early and bring her back to the office. We(Rory, the guys, Nancy, the cleaning girls, everybody) are all standing out back conjugating. It got kinda quiet so I decided to share Ava's new word with the gang, and how cute her Dad thought it was. Okay, the last 7 words were a bit of a joke. Boy oh boy did everybody get a good laugh. Rory begins cracking jokes about how Ava will drive his truck because it's "safe" and that she'll never have a new car when she's sixteen. (who is this man fooling? not me!) They tried to get her to say it and of course she makes a liar out of us and doesn't make a peep, much less run around screaming "Mercedes."

You still with me?

Rory and I pick her up from school this afternoon. We both go in together to get her. As I'm making my way to her classroom door, I am stopped by a toddler having a complete meltdown in the common area. I continue walking (and secretly praise God my child is not the only one who does this in public) and I hear "Mercedes, there is no reason for this."

I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around, and asked "Excuse me ma'am? Yes you. Did I just hear you say Mercedes? That's your daughters name?" She replies with a "Yes." I think she would have loved my story(what lead up to me asking her to confirm her daughters name); however, Mercedes was not expressing herself in a Montessori way...if you get my drift. She was trying to make a beeline to the door.

I think at that moment, Rory began jumping up and down celebrating! It was a silent look he made to me that said "phew, I don't have to buy her a mercedes...at least...not yet." Ha, who's he fooling? That girl has him wrapped around her pinky finger! I didn't deny that I'm wrapped around her finger, I just didn't admit it either ;)

What A Weekend

Why do the weekends go by so fast? It seems as if there is plenty of time to get things done in two days. Then when those two days come to a close, I just feel like I didn't get a thing done.

Yesterday we carved pumpkins. We as in Rory and myself. Ava wanted nothing to do with the actually carving part. She did have a lot to do with the "eating the hat" part.

Just in case you don't know what the "hat" of a pumpkin is...well you're not the only one. I still kind of don't know what it is, I just assumed what it was. You know when you cut the hole in the top of the pumpkin by the stem? The hole where you stick your hands inside and take out the pumpkin "guts." The part that the stem stays attached to is what I'm assuming is the "hat." I'm still not too sure though, lol. That's just what Rory kept calling it.

Ava decided she was going to participate in our pumpkin carving by walking around with all of our pumpkin hats, gnawing off huge chunks of them. (got pictures to prove it)

Disgusting, I know! Hey, what can you do? In my situation when it comes to battling a toddler, I have learned that you can't really do much of anything. She obviously liked the way it taste or else I'd think she wouldn't have eaten it, right? Who knows.

After the pumpkin carving I made some homemade chocolate chip cookies. It's been years since I've made them from scratch and I was feeling a little Betty Crocker this weekend. Speaking of Betty, I should have just bought her cookie mix instead. It could have saved me about 2 hours. The time it took to grocery shop for the ingredients, the time it took to measure and mix the ingredients, and the time it took to spoon out the mixture. Here's my mastercard math:
$15 worth of cookie ingredients
2 hours of making cookie dough and baking it
Final Product: Albino cookies...PRICELESS!

My cookies turned out Albino. No really, they did! They did not turn that golden brown color that tells you the cookies are done baking. They stayed white. It was the weirdest thing. I guess it really doesn't make that much of a difference because they taste like they should :) That's all that matters anyway.

Today we just hung out until about noon and then we went to Warner Robins to visit some friends. We did make a pit stop by Circuit City. I have a feeling in a few weeks you'll see pictures of the outcome to Circuit City.

This is not off topic (as much as it might seem to be) but if I have to say "Ava, we don't do that" one more time, I'm going to scream...lol. This beautiful child has found all of my buttons and she sure does get her kicks out of pushing them. It has to be that Irish blood. ;) That's okay, it's why I love her so much!

Before I close this for the evening, I just want to ask everybody a favor. Please pray for a friend of mine. She and her husband had 2 embryos transferred for possibly their last round of IVF. I can only pray, wish and hope that this last try is successful. Please cross your fingers for them! Thank you for your support. Just because National Infertility Awareness Week is over today does not mean that couples will never face these issues after today. I'm not going to get on that soapbox right now. Maybe another day.

All-n-all our weekend was pretty nice. How was yours?

***I'll post pictures from this weekend on photobucket when I get to work tomorrow.***

A few thoughts...

So, I thought I'd write about a few different things tonight. Some serious, some silly, and some "whatevers."

So, lately I've been feeling like every week at work is like a boxing match. Each day is a different round and we may come out on top or we may get knocked down, but either way we continue the fight until 5:oo pm on Friday. At least at that time we usually get to take a little break for a couple of days until the next match on Monday morning. Sometimes, the weeks are hard. This one was...well it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. I did, however, find my "inspiration" book that I've kept since I was about 13 or so. I opened it up and the first thing I came to was the poem "IF" by Rudyard Kipling. I read it again and thought about a lot of things. First off, I thought about the fact that it was the first poem I'd ever liked and that my Dad gave it to me. Second, I thought about how every line of it seemed to apply to how things have gone over the last few months, years, etc. From the "truth I've spoken, twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools" to "making one heap of all your winnings and risk on a game of pitch and toss" -it was all there. To read it again helped me today. Does it fix everything? No, of course not. But it does inspire me to "fight the good fight" and be ready for whatever the next week brings.

Ok, so some less serious things. First let me tell you about Ava tonight. Danielle was on the couch and I was rubbing her feet a little and then Ava started to grab at her feet too. We took mom's socks off and Ava proceeded to act sweet and rub her feet. It was then that she felt the need to blow her nose on her mother's feet....multiple times. Danielle didn't seem to think it was all that funny, but Ava and I had a good laugh about it. I mean, at least she's learned to blow her nose! Maybe she can transition to a kleenex next time, but mom's foot it a good start I would imagine.

Let's see, oh yes, I forgot. I finally saw the infomercial for "Baby Can Read." Needless to say, I was quite amazed. Although I have a few questions as to how well it would work, the competitive side of me says, "my kid can do that!" So you never know....Ava could be writing the next blog. haha.

Finally, I must address the "Cheetah Girl" comment made by Danielle on the last blog. First let me set the scene. Last Saturday, we went to see a movie after we dropped Ava at the babysitter's house. The movie didn't start for a while so we went to buy Ava a new pair of shoes. While we were in line, two young girls (maybe 6 or 7 years old) were pestering their mother about buying something at the store. The mom replied that they could get something only if it was $1. Meanwhile, big mama is buying things that she probably doesn't need and sporting her bluetooth earpiece and ignoring her children. So the little girls then start ripping through everything they find interesting hoping that it will be a dollar. The last thing I can remember that I bought for under a dollar was some bubble gum for Danielle today! So one of the little girls is looking through pairs of socks with "Cheetah Girl" on them and loudly offers her prayer to the pricing Gods of "OOO Cheetah Girl, pleeeese be a dolla!!!" It was sad and funny, but that's the story behind it. After we left the store, Danielle vowed that would be her new tag line. It's kind of an inside joke (well maybe not now that I've explained it) but it always brings a smile to her face and mine and reminds of us of some good quality date time together.

Oh, last thing! My prediction for the World Series is the Tampa Bay Rays will win in 6 games. For you non-sports fans out there...the World Series determines the Major League Baseball champions. Tampa Bay is a city in Florida. The Rays is the name of the team (used to be Devil Rays). The winner must win 4 out of 7 games to win the championship. There...that should be clear enough....haha.

Alright, well, I'll sign off for the night. Have a good weekend and I'll try to share the blog load a little more from now on.

Chicken Nuggets vs. Any Other Food

I've learned today that Rory and I have been taken for fools. (To some of you out there, no need to take it so literally...k that's not what I'm referring too *wink*) Tonight we'll refer to the culprit as "Diva Ava." Do you remember me mentioning this character in the last post? I hope so, because this post will just reaffirm the "divatude" our daughter has.

This child will only eat chicken nuggets for dinner. Haven't I mentioned that a time or two. I think so. Her dinner plate usually consists of 4 nuggets and a few tablespoons of fruit cocktail, washed down with some juice on the rocks.

The juice isn't really on the rocks, but I felt like saying it anyways. I guess because maybe right now I could use a certain juice on the rocks. ;-)

Back to the story.

Ava hates food with the texture of noodles, mashed potatoes, anything soggy and anything slimy...you get the point.

I picked up a menu from the Montessori School on Monday. Just a bit curious to see what kind of food the kid is supposed to be eating during the day. I just KNOW she doesn't eat that well at school, ya know, because she only eats the chicken nuggets and I didn't think they'd serve those everyday for lunch...silly me! <---have I made myself clear on her likes? The school menu had stuff like spinach ravioli(I don't even think I'd eat this,) corn dogs, mashed potatoes. Nothing MY DIVA would eat, right?

WRONG!

I inquired today on the appetite or should I say lack of appetite of Ms. Diva. Ms. Hailey, Ms. Diva's teacher, looked a bit perplexed when I asked how lunchtime was going these days. She laughed and said "Oh my...Ava eats everything!" Before Ms. Hailey can even help other children with their lunch Ava is asking for SECONDS.

Now you can understand that in no way was I prepared to believe the statement referring to my daughter eating everything on her plate. What? No Way! OHHH YES WAY FOLKS! I was even shown a picture.

The proof was written/smeared all over her face...mashed potatoes.

All I have to say is dinner time is going to do a 180 in this house. :)

"Ohhhh Cheetah Girl, Please be One Dollar!" I'll tell you about this tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out if it's funny or sad.

Diva Darling

Apparently our princess has a new nickname at school. I know there was no way that my "booty music" was any kind of influence to Ava when she was swimming around in my belly. How about just reassure me and say "no influence came from your taste in music Danielle." *wink*

I love music. I can change the channel on the radio and pick up where any song starts. Country, Pop, Oldies, anything. Music is how I relate to life. Now don't get me wrong, I never said I could sing worth a flip...lol. I'm even too embarrassed to sing in the shower.

Back to my "Diva." So, I pick Ava up from school the other day and the jolly cook shouts "BYE DIVA!" Ava and I are the only ones around this lady. I turn around, thinking that maybe somebody is behind me and I did not see a soul? I'm a little confused at this point. Why is this woman yelling Diva? I can't help but to stop and ask her.

I got my answer...and it made me chuckle to myself.

They have nicknamed Ava- "Ava Diva."

The school had a visit by the state, and I was informed that Ava was very vocal and couldn't refrain from keeping the "state lady" company. She talked and talked and continued to talk to the "state lady" until she left. The Divas day consists of walking around telling other kids what to do (unfortunately they can't understand her babbling.) As she is walking around (if there is music playing) she also dances. Not just a swaying back and forth but this child can dance. It's the funniest thing you've ever seen.

We even pulled up "baby dancing videos" on YouTube and she got so excited. I know she was thinking...OMG...These are little people just like me and they're groovin' just like me. She stared at the computer mezmorized by her fellow dance team divas.

Boy oh boy are we in trouble.

Well she just hit the 15 month mark. I'm so amazed that here in few 15 months she has been on this earth, she shows so much knowledge. If you're around this child for more than five minutes you cannot deny her comprehension level. I just wish she could vocally express herself. She's learning sign language and that is helping a lot. At least thats what they told me at her school today. I'm going to be the most uneducated person in my home soon. The hubby knows Spanish. I don't. Ava is learning sign language. Um...I can spell my name in ASL...does that count?

I just can't believe that a child Ava's age, so young, can be so knowledgeable. Our kids are smart people. They know what's going on around them. They see EVERYTHING! Even if they can't talk, they know. I'll have to remember that when she does start talking in sentences. No need to elaborate, huh?

I'm supposed to say "Tampa Bay Rays win-6 games." I can't remember if I'm supposed to say Devil Rays or just Rays. If you know what it means then you'll know what Rays team is supposed to win. If you don't know what it means then you'll be as lost as me. I'm not too sure "who's on first and what's on second" with all this sports commentator chit chat.

Later Fellow Divas! ;-)

Burning Questions

I love this...lol. My email has exploded with questions as to what I wanted to share with everybody(but was checking with the hubs first.)

Just to clear the air a bit...no I'm not pregnant.

The hubby shot me down last night, so I can't really come forth in regards to what lingers on my thoughts.

I've drifted off to la la land quite a bit today. In one of my adventures in the far away place, I left with a feeling of confusion. Usually when I make a visit, it's because I've got a lot on my mind and I try to escape into my own world.

Pause for a second.

I'm in no way trying to sound like a bi-polar psycho path...I mean really, don't you just kind of drift off and day dream. I guess that's what I should have called it...day dreaming.

Okay. Back to my trip today. I was talking with a visitor who began sharing a story of her teenage daughter. The girl is en route to college this upcoming year. I don't know this mom too well but what I do know of her, she is VERY close and VERY involved in her daughters life. As she was telling me a story, I got to thinking...how am I going to be when my daughter goes off to college. I joke with Rory and say that I can't wait for the day in which we can have a date, and not pay more for the babysitter than what we actually do on date itself. I'd like to think we'd be like the married couple, that's been together for 30 years and they have their second honeymoon after the kids leave. So exciting!

Then I got to thinking. What type of relationship will I have with Ava as she gets older. I know it will not be a big bowl of ice cream with a cherry on top at all time. This is reality people. I long to have the relationship with my daughter that I've never had with my mother. *I think maybe I did temporarily but it never seems to last long*

I want Ava to want to talk to me. Lord knows I don't want to be her best friend, because as any parent I would still like my child to respect me.

I want to be the mom that has all the friends over at our house. Not only so I know what's going on in Ava's life(duh), but because she won't have so many brothers and sisters (or an alcoholic abusive stepfather) that it's embarrassing to have people over. I never knew who was going to do what. You can't blame the little brothers and sisters because they were younger and didn't know better. The unknown was just a bit unnerving.

I want to tell her everyday how beautiful she is and reassure her, so she never doubts herself to the point she is self-destructive.

I want to take her shopping and not have it be the normal that she has to do a mad dash to the clearance rack to see whats left. There will be no digging for things based on price. (This kinda goes hand in hand with Michaels last post.)

I don't want to be so involved in her life that it becomes my identity; however, I want her to never doubt if I'll be at a sporting event or activity she chooses to participate in.

As my so called visitor was chatting away, all of these things ran threw my head. I look back at my childhood and the older I get the more I realize how much it really did shape who I am, who I want to be, and who people see me as.

This is in no way a bashing session against my mother. It's just a realization that I want to do things differently. I won't always do things right nor will I always do things wrong.

At the end of the day, I just simply want my child(ren) to be well-rounded. I think my mom accomplished this job...well with just me of course ;) Not the other 5...j/k...well...kind of! I might dislike the choices she has made, but because of those choices (along with some of my own as an adult) I wouldn't be me without them.

My final destination of day dreaming left me with this:

Love who you are.

Accept what made you that way.

Go one step beyond your parents in the teachings to your children.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Hmmm...

Kinda quiet tonight. I asked Rory what I should write about and these were his suggestions:
#1 "Tell everybody how Ava only eats chicken nuggets and fruit for dinner, even though you tried to give her chicken breast and she still wouldn't eat it."
...hold on one sec...okay, sorry. I had to ask him what else he said because frankly I wasn't listening the first time...oops ;) lol. You can't blame me, I was reading an interesting site while he was talking.
Okay back to his other suggestion.
#2 "Write about your new blackberry and how you're trying to figure out how to use it, so you can be high tech."
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa...did somebody forget to mention to my lovely dear husband that I AM HIGH TECH. Well maybe I do have to read the instruction book for the Blackberry (since I still can't figure out how to even make a phone call) but that doesn't make me any less high tech, does it? Nooo way! ;)

The one and only show I actually look forward to watching is on.

Army Wives.

Stop reading this and go watch it. I've got something I wanna share but I'd like to talk it over with the hubby first. Stay tuned.

Before I go, let me share this with you...

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him.

Fireproof

Any couple whether married or not MUST go see this movie. Not only was it filmed in Albany, Ga...but it has a great message. It is considered a "low budget film" made with a $500,000 budget, but the message is not low budget at all!

This film definitely reassured me that I love being with my best friend! Just because you have hard times doesn't mean you can bail out. In today's society it's such an easy and acceptable process. I've learned (oh so well) that there will be times in a relationship that you want to give up because that's what's easy to do. Any relationship is work and we all know that work is hard. Rory and I have put a lot of hard work into our marriage, and in no way am I naive to think that this will ever stop...but...I do know when to stop and take in all the goodness.

The little things. The things that we know, love and accept about each other whether it be good or bad. I know that Rory rubs his feet together when he's tired or bored. He knows that I use about a roll of toilet paper...a day. I know that he'd rather listen to ESPN Radio in the morning and he knows that I'd rather listen to a comedic morning show. We compromise. He listens to ESPN when we ride separate ;) j/k...well kinda.

Isn't life about compromise. Give and take. Why do we give our significant other so many standards to live up to. I think sometimes we tend to add stress to our relationship by demanding so much of each other. Instead can't we take a second and realize that we're on the same team. Life has been wonderful since we've realized that. You don't work against each other. You have to work with each other. I love my husband and I know he loves me, but today I realized not only is he my best friend...he's my teammate. I am so blessed and will continue to thank God for allowing me to have such a wonderful, faithful, courageous, and strong teammate. I could go on and on but I don't want to bore you with my lovey dovey talk.

I just want everybody to have what Rory and I have. I have a beautiful husband (inside and out!) Shhh...he might kill me for saying that. Ya know, men don't want other men to know they're really saps on the inside...wink wink!

By the way, I bought $434 worth of clothes for $30 at the Sears clearance sale! Doing the happy dance again! :)

Ava's story for the day. The table in the living room that we keep the laptop on is in the corner. Ava knows not to go by it because of the cord for the laptop. This morning when Rory was sleeping, I was laying on the couch and Ava was playing. She went to the corner table 3 times. Each time I had asked her politely to walk away from the table. The fourth time I hit my hand on the table to make a loud noise and get her attention. I guess it worked because she walked away from the table. Then she proceeded to walk over to me on the couch. She put her head down by my shoulder and said "I sorry." OH MY GOSH can you say...melt a mother's heart! I immediately felt terrible and I couldn't help but hug her and kiss her and tell her "it's okay pumpkin." I also fought the urge to wake Rory up (he got up with Ava at 5:45 and then went back to sleep for a bit after I got up) to share our little girls first apology.

God I love my family!

Deals

I said the other day that yesterday (Monday) I would post a blog about "Sears and 19 cents." Well yesterday was Monday and today is Tuesday, so here I am on Tuesday informing you of the crazy Sears thing. I've decided to start getting back into my couponing with Publix and CVS. It's so easy to save money with coupons, and YES I do get food that I eat. Most people think if you use a coupon that you can't buy food you like. I only buy food Rory and I like and just find coupons for the products. If I can't find a coupon I take 1 minute out of my time and email the company requesting coupons. You'd be surprised how many of them looove to send stacks of coupons to you. Here is a compilation of my trips from today...

Can we let the drums roll....

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
(is that an accurate drum roll noise typed out? I have no clue to be honest with you. Looking at it now it looks more like somebody trying to say that it's cold...buuuurrrrr.)

Back to what I was saying. These were my deals for the day:

Kotex-3 x $3.59=$10.77
PaperTowel-2 x $.79=$1.58
Dish Soap-2 x $1.59=$3.18
Crest-$3.49
Toothbrush-$3.99
Trix-2 x $2.99=$5.98
Breadcrumbs=2 x $1.69=$3.38
Total Products Worth $32.37

I paid....$8.72 and I got $4 back in ECB's
(ECB's=Extra Care Bucks) from CVS.

Back to the Sears thing. This is an example of how addictive "deal finding" can be. I read on a website Saturday that Sears is going to be having a 19 cents final clearance sale. I think the people really meant 99 cents, but thats okay. Anyways. Saturday night...I had a DREAM about shopping at Sears. In my dream it was like nobody even knew about the sale because all the shelves and racks were piled full with merchandise. How convienent, huh...lol. Andrea, if you're reading this I racked up on toys for Erin. When I woke up all I could remember were all these cool toys I got, and that I was so excited I had only paid $1.90 for these cool toys. They were even in huge boxes so I know they were really fun toys. Psycho isn't it. Who knew somebody could dream about a clearance sale at Sears.

Sorry, Paris Hilton's My New BFF just came on...gotta go ;)

P.S. Posted new pics of the princess on photobucket

BORING!

No really...boring!

This was such a wonderful...lazy...boring weekend. I loved it!

I guess because of our uneventful weekend there is not much to blog about.

We just stayed around house. Our neighbors did come to visit last night. They are a blast and so much fun. We took our babysitter out to eat for her birthday and enjoyed our meal (which I assume had a secret "sauce" called saliva.) Let me explain that one. My little brother works at the restaurant we went to. My babysitter is his ex-girlfriend. After the downfall with the parents, he told me to "ROT IN HELL!" I was shocked that he actually told our server (his fellow co-worker) that I was his sister. I thought after the...oooh soooo pleasant(sense my sarcasm)messages from MSN Messenger, he would not claim me as his sister. I guess we're surprised everyday. Maybe there are others out there that CAN act like adults...hmm...interesting. Well I guess if he spit in our food (which he has admittedly done before) then that would not be so adult like. Needless to say, we enjoyed our meal. :)

I've uploaded some new pictures, just a few, not many...to the photobucket acct. If you still need the username and password just email me @ bamababe08 at hotmail dot com.

On a lighter note.

I'm using the crock pot tomorrow night for dinner. I love my crock pot but have not used it so far this fall. I'm going to make some beef and gravy with noodles. It only takes 4 ingredients, so if it comes out tasty then I'll post it for all of my blog friends to try.

Did I fail to mention...I'M SOOOO EXCITED TO MOVE! :) Woo hoo

Tomorrow I have an interesting story to tell. If I forget then remind me...just say:

SEARS & 19 PENNIES!

The high road = the hard road

So as many of you know, things have been very interesting in our lives lately. Lots of drama (which I hate) and plenty of opportunities to test one's character. I guess until lately, I've never really had to deal with being continuously tested on what type of person I really am. I say "I," but it's not just me, it's Danielle too. It's definitely not easy -especially for those of you who know how hot-headed and explosive I can be. But, I really feel like things happen for a reason, and this is just a test in life to teach us something. Doesn't mean I've figured out what that "something" is yet, but I'm sure someday we'll have it figured out. Until then, I guess we'll just have to settle for the fact that the high road in tough situations is a lot harder than the low, correction, extremely low road that others choose to take.

On a happier note, we were sitting here watching the baseball game (Dodgers and Phillies) and Ava sat up from drinking her milk and it really sounded like she said "Baseball Game" and then "Dodgers." Those little noises really make you wonder if she was really trying to say that and her little mouth just can't say the words or if there are just weird coincidences.

On a baseball note, I'll give my predictions: Phillies over Dodgers with the Dodgers cooled off after beating the Cubs, who were supposedly the best team in the National League this year. I'll also take the Tampa Bay Rays over the Red Sox because I like the underdog and I'll root against northeastern teams whenever possible...haha.

Hello to all who read and talk to you all soon.

The Rock Ranch

Sorry the blog was down for a few days. I was making some adjustments and decisions. I am no longer going to post family pictures. If you email me, I'd be more than glad to respond with the user name and password for photobucket. It is the website I'm now using to host pictures. Think of it as an online photo album.

Rory and I took Ava to The Rock Ranch. It is owned by the owner of Chick-Fil-A. Surprisingly they do not have any of the Chick-Fil-A food there, so we took a picnic basket. It was more like a picnic cooler, but that's okay...it did the job just fine. This was the coolest place ever! Ava had a blast. She got to meet Bob & Larry from Veggie Tales (pictures on photobucket if you'd like to see) wink wink. For any of you in GA. with little ones, check out the website WWW.TheRockRanch.Com. The funniest thing is that this place is in The Rock, GA. Yes, that's the name of the town...THE ROCK. Interesting. Or at least I thought it was. Doesn't take much to make me laugh these days.

Side Note.

I did laugh when Shannon convinced me today that we had a basement in our shop. Don't ask. I know.

The princess is talking up a storm right now and I can't concentrate at the moment. I might try to post more later. If I don't get the chance, then I hope everybody had just as great of a weekend as we did :)

Waiting for Dad

Not much to report here.
Ava and I got bored waiting for Dad to come out of the gas station, so we took a little video. She was saying "bye byyyyyyyye" to the car next to us, so I thought I'd share her new tricks with you.
God...I love this beautiful child!
